Taking part in this event requires that you read and accept these guidelines and
Participants take part at their own risk. An emergency telephone number is on
display at Registration and printed on your answer sheet. Before starting, you
should consult the map displayed at Registration showing any specific hazards
relating to this event.

high visibility/reflective clothing. (A reflective bib may be borrowed from
the organiser if you do not have one.) You should also ensure that you are
adequately clothed for the current and anticipated weather conditions.

any concerns about losing contact with the map, you should carry a compass.
possible you must use pavements and footpaths. Keep into the side of the
road if there is no pavement.
must be exercised when crossing roads. Choose locations where you can see in
all directions and can be seen. Use pedestrian crossing points whenever
(and sometimes other major roads) and railway lines are out of bounds and
must only be crossed at legal, pedestrian crossing points.
