SROC Membership

If you are totally new to orienteering and only a local membership is desired (which is fine when you are starting off), then membership of SROC is £11.80 for an Adult (over 18), £11.80 for a Family and £4.50 for Junior (or full time student), for one year (if you join from 1st September - 31 December it includes the current year and the next year).
There are two types of membership of SROC, both of which require membership of BOF (British Orienteering Federation):
1. BOF National Membership. This includes:
- Only these can compete at British Orienteering Championships
- Get discounted entry to all events everywhere
The costs for annual National membership are as follows :
- Full Group membership @ £33.80 / year.
- Full Family membership (includes Juniors) @ £42.50 / year.
- Full Senior membership @ £33.80 / year.
- Full Junior membership @ £9.25 / year.
2. BOF Local Membership. This includes:
- Can compete in JK, National, Regional and district events
- Only get discount within their region ( for SROC that means no discount at say an event just the other side of the Pennines)
- Fewer BOF mailings e.g. Focus
The costs for this type of membership are as follows :
- Local Senior membership @ £20.05 / year.
- Local Family membership @ £26.30 / year.
- Local Junior membership (age less than 18 years) @ £4.50 / year.
If you are totally new to orienteering and only a local membership is desired, then BOF will waive their membership prices and the costs become £11.80 for Seniors, £11.80 for Family and £4.50 for Junior, for one year only.
