Volunteer Manager

Objective

To provide support to the organisers and planners of SROC events. This support extends from after the initial definition of an event and the appointment of relevant officials through to the event’s conclusion.

Tasks

• To provide support to both organisers and planners.  Where necessary, provide  a personal introduction to the event handbook and then provide first line support  for the duration of the event

• Maintain the Event Handbook through liaisons with event officials and experienced orienteers

• To maintain the club helper list and provide guidance to organisers on its use, as part of 1 above

• To suggest developments in club organization of events in terms of methods, equipment and standards
