25.06.06 Summer Series - Astley Park Results. 
As we enter the final few events of this year's SROC Summer Series, check out the latest results from Astley Park.  Current Scores have also been updated, or look at all the results so far. 

22.06.06 Summer Series Results 
Results for the recent event at Turton and Entwistle are now available and top scorers.    

22.06.06 Whitbarrow National Event - Rescheduling and Re-entry. 
This event has been provisionally scheduled for Sunday March 11th 2007.  The event will be a World Ranking Event, UK Cup and Future Champions Cup. LOC will now run an event on the Saturday 10th March 2007. The format and location have still to be decided.  If you entered for the 2006 event please follow the link to find out more about transferring your entry or claiming a refund.

18.06.06 SROC AGM - Wed 20th Sept 
The SROC Annual General Meeting will be held in the Senior Common Room, Furness College, Lancaster University on 20th Sept at 7.30pm.  All are welcome.  Please bring something for a small Jacobs join afterwards.  If you are interested in joining the committee, please get in touch with any of the existing committee members before the event.

18.06.06 Summer Series Results 
Results for the recent Beacon Fell and Williamson Park events are now available - see the links next to the event in the Fixtures list.  These results are part of SROC's Summer Series of orienteering events on Sundays and Wednesdays over June/July.  Check out the Fixtures list to see when you can make it to an event.  Next event is at Turton and Entwistle on 21st June at 6.30pm  

12.06.06 Harvester Success 
Finally it has happened! Over Saturday night and Sunday morning, the Harvester team of John Ashton, Steve Mclean, Chris Roberts, David Rosen, Steve Wilson, Rick Houghton and Jon Carberry secured the Harvester Handicap Trophy (a big red combine harvester!) by finishing 9th on the A class. A great result.  Well done guys!

12.06.06 Get Well Soon Maurice! 
All the SROC Club members send best wishes to Maurice Collett, the SROC President, who suffered a mild stroke last week.  Take it easy Maurice, perhaps try a Light Green for the time being!    

12.06.06 SROC Message Board 
The Message Board is a great place to share experiences, ask questions, and create debate amongst SROC members - and even non-members.  Recent "spamming" on the site has meant that the rules have changed for using the site.  You will now need to register to use the site, even to see the postings.  Simply register - it takes about 30 seconds - and tick the "log me in automatically each visit" option to save you ever having to log in again.  By getting everyone to register will help reduce "spamming" and ensure that postings are legitimate and constructive.  

08.06.06 Beacon Fell - 11th June. 
The SROC summer series starts this Sunday with an event at Beacon Fell.  The events are designed to be local, fun and provide and opportunity for newcomers to taste the sport.
So come if you can, and why not bring friends, family, neighbours, colleagues from work etc. SROC will be pleased to welcome all.  

05.06.06 New Arrival. 
Congratulations to Alex and Jayne Finch on the birth of their second son Graeme.  He was born on 2nd June at 5.30pm.  Both Mum and Son are doing well.
