07.01.06 Club Handicap and Social - Sat 21st Jan
Every January SROC has an event to get together as a club, have a good
orienteering run and then time to chat, have a laugh, a quiz and award various
prizes. This year it's being held at Silverdale with the orienteering
being on a new area. It's a great opportunity to get to know other people
in the club, swap stories, make suggestions and even volunteer to help
out. So please put it in your diary.
The handicap system for the orienteering ensures that victory is a complete
lottery! You never know, it could be you!
07.01.06 New Street League Co-ordinator
If you had not already heard, Street League has a new co-ordinator -
Glenys Ferguson. She will take over at the start of next season (Oct
2006). In the mean time Peter Knott will be caretaker co-ordinator.
Glenys takes over from the sterling work of Ian Evans who over many years has
built the street event into a regular league popular with orienteers and
newcomers throughout the North West.
