SROC District Event

Incorporating LSOA and Lancashire Scout and Guide Orienteering Championships. 

16th October 2005 - Worden Park, Leyland

Introduction This is a change of date from previously published. 

Directions: Follow signs for Worden Park, south of Leyland town centre.  Pass the main vehicle entry to the park on the east side (i.e. heading south with the park on your right).  Turn left and enter Runshaw College on your right. Gates open at 8am. 

Parking  Runshaw College (west end) GR543206.  Please park as directed.  There will be a charge of £1 per vehicle.  There is no parking for Orienteers anywhere inside the park.  

Registration 10:00am to 12:00am.  Entry fees £2:00 juniors £4:00 seniors. SI card (dibber) hire 50p

Courses  The event will run the colour coded courses White, Yellow, Orange, Light Green & Red. (No technical 5 standard courses). 

SI electronic Punching  SI E-Punching will be used, including punching start and finish.  Vandal resistant controls will be used, attached to trees, fences or similaar immovable objects.  Don't forget to download even if you have retired. This is an important safety aspect. 

Starts  Starts will take place between 10:30 and 12:30. Start times will be given at the pre-start. Start and Finish areas are close together 150m from the car park.

Out of Bounds  OOB areas include all football fields, most of which may be in use. . 

Drinks Note that there will be NO drinks at the finish.  NW Junior Squad refreshment stall may be present.
