31.10.05 White Coppice Event - Important
Competitors coming to this District Event should note that a road race will be taking place at the same time as this event, in the area of
Wheelton, Brinscall and Abbey Village. As advised on the
event flyer vehicles are to approach from the roundabout at M65 J3 down the A675 through Abbey Village. It is strongly recommended that arrival at the assembly area should be timed to be before 10.30 a.m. or after 11.15 a.m. as there will be the risk of traffic delays during the period in-between. Subsequently, exit from the event will be made in the opposite
direction.

16.10.05 Medals for Lancaster
Katrin Harding and Emily Scragg from Lancaster Girls’ Grammar School won silver medals in their respective age groups in Saturday’s British Schools’ Score Championships held at Shipley Country Park in Derbyshire.
Katrin combined with Flora Hetherington, Jo Wylie and Jenny Tynan to finish 3rd school in the lower secondary category. The girls’ attendance at the event was thanks to the support from Lancaster City Council’s Leisure Services who provided the minibus.
Also making the 300 mile round trip was a squad from Lancaster Royal Grammar School. The boys took 3rd place in the upper secondary category and best individual performances came from Tom Winsor (6th) and Chris Pears (10th).
Balshaw’s High School, Leyland also had a squad. Sam Lowe was top performer, managing an excellent 8th.
