Hilltop country park with a mixture of woodland, plantation and open fell

Directions

From A6 at SD506416 follow brown signs to Beacon Fell Country Park, and then O-signs

 

From other directions navigate to the Beacon Fell one-way loop road and follow O-signs round the one-way loop road

Parking

At SD564426 Please follow the marshalls’ instructions.

Suitable for cars and minibuses – not coaches

Entry

Entry on the day.  Schools intending to bring a group, please contact the organisers before 5 February 2006 to discuss pre-entry to avoid queues at Registration.

Format

Mass start score events (bring a watch)

Punching

Sportident electronic punching (available for hire)

Scoring

Ten points awarded per control found, and 5 points deducted per minute or part minute late finishing.

1:7,500 with controls overprinted

 

 

Course A

45 minutes for girls Y9 and boys Y8 & above (start 11:00)

Course B

30 minutes for girls Y8 and boys Y7 & below (start 11:15)

Course Z

45 minutes for adults and others (start 12:00)

Juniors & Students (M/W20 and below) £2 Seniors £4

SI Hire

50p per SI-card (lost SI-cards will be charged for)
