LSOA League Event 2 and Lancashire Scout and Guide Championships

Parking                                   The Car Park and Registration will be in Bowley Scout Camp. The approach to Bowley is along a narrow lane. Please`drive with care. It will not be possible to drop off participants. Exit from the car park will be from 12.00. There will be a nominal car park fee of £1.00 payable at the gate. Please park as directed.

 

Registration                           From 10.00 am – 12.00 am. Start times from 10.30 am to 12.30 am. (start times will be allocated at the starts. Please do not approach the starts in large groups. LSOA Schools and Scouts/Guides register separately. See information board on the day for course details and entry fees.

                                            

Courses                                  White and Yellow Courses will be run on Bowley. The start and finish is 100m from the car park. Maps are pre marked but not bagged. Pin punching will used – there will be an example of the control kite at the registration.

 

Orange, Light Green and Green will be run on Dean Clough There is a 40 minute walk to the start. Clothing can be left at the start in bags provided and collected on the way back from the finish. There will be a start lane for each course. Please queue in the correct lane and at intervals of three minutes between runners from the same school/group. Please hand in your control card at the finish whether you complete your course or not.

 

Results                                   There will be no results on the day. Raw results will appear on the PFO web site as soon as possible after the event (www.pfo.org.uk). Detailed results will follow later (please leave a SAE at registration for detailed results)

 

Clothing and equipment         Wear suitable clothes for running (track suits/joggers etc) and old trainers.

If raining, please bring a cagoule. Whistles must be carried.  You will need a clear plastic bag for your map and red biro to copy down your course (White and Yellow courses will be pre marked). There is a tuck shop and toilet facilities on site.
