Scout Scar
17th April 2004

This event is being staged on the Saturday after the JK at Scout Scar and will be a challenging event over first class orienteering terrain. Team leaders are now in place and where necessary will be approaching members to help. However since the event is immediately after the JK weekend I anticipate many members will be a little battle weary and hence it is being staged with a minimum of manpower requirements which means anyone wishing to run will be welcome to do so without helping. The menís and womenís standard courses will be of normal length i.e. about a green/blue standard/length but will still be a mass start and so ideal training for the British Relays a fortnight later. These starts will be 15-30 minutes after the main mass starts to allow anyone that is helping and also wishes to run to be able to compete. This would suit people who also wish to compete at Flasby Fell the following day. Do enjoy the JK.
