Swiss TV will be the first to broadcast orienteering live. They have chosen the OL WM 2003 sprint finals in Rapperswil/Jona for this pioneering event.

19.05.03 Annual Picnic - Sat 21 June
A great social event for all SROC members of all ages.  This year it is on Sat 21 June at Nibthwaite ( GR 299922) on the east side of Lake Coniston. Parking 2.5K north of High Nibthwaite. Mass Start score event at 2.00pm followed by picnic and chat. Please bring some food to share on pot luck basis like after the annual handicap.

15.05.03 SROC/PFO Summer League 
The dates for this year's Summer League have now been published in the fixtures list.  First 4 events offer Short Easy, Short Difficult and Long Difficult courses on Thursday nights in June and July.  5th and final event is the Roeburndale colour coded event.  Best 3 scores out of 5 races.  All welcome.

09.05.03 Nordic Orienteering Championships - Maps
The maps / courses from NOC 2003 are now available.

09.05.03OL WM 2003
A record number of 42 nations have registered for the OL WM 2003 (August 3 - 9, 2003). 335 athletes and 99 officials are expected in Rapperswil/Jona. These figures will make the 20th World Orienteering Championships in Switzerland the biggest event of its kind ever.

If you've never tried it before, tuck your socks in and get peddling to Witton Park, Blackburn.  And if you have tried it before, bring a friend!

05.05.03 Nordic Orienteering Championships - Relay
The NOC 2003 Relay took place yesterday. H21 was cancelled in controversial circumstances, with Sweden winning the D21 relay.

03.05.03 Nordic Orienteering Championships - Short Race
The NOC 2003 Short Race took place earlier today. Pasi Ikonen and Jenny Johansson ran out winners.

03.05.03 Nordic Orienteering Championships - Classic Race
The NOC 2003 Classic Race took place yesterday. Emil Wingstedt proved that it is possible to combine both the Sprint and Classic distance by winning his second race in two days.

02.05.03 Nordic Orienteering Championships - Sprint Race
The NOC 2003 Sprint Race took place yesterday. Jamie Stevenson produced an excellent performance to finish 2nd in H21.
