Well, we thought it was wonderful weather, I am not sure you would have agreed half way round your course! Still, it was better than last year’s equivalent event - Clougha - where the heavens opened all day.

Our thanks go to Dr Everett and family, for allowing us to run in his beautiful woodland and use his facilities. You will see that his daughter did a very respectable time on the yellow, especially as this was her first ever orienteering event.

Also thanks to Peter Edge for planning so efficiently and creatively (at least one mindblowing route choice on blue and brown - how many ran down the river?), the Collins family for assisting, and Alex Finch for controlling.

Both electronic and paper results should now have the Colour Qualifying times inserted. If you gain three qualifying times for a particular colour you can claim (for a nominal fee) a very smart cloth badge for your club - and then work on getting the next colour.

Look out for the Lancashire Summer League next year - we hope the prizes did not melt before you eat them.
